Chrysan Industries Celebrates 40 Years
“Global Chemical Manufacturer Located in the Heart of Plymouth”
Plymouth, Michigan - 2017 marks the 40th anniversary for Chrysan Industries, a global manufacturer of automotive lubricants & specialty chemicals.
Chrysan Industries, Inc. was founded by Dr. Kook-Wha Koh in 1977 after working as the R&D Director for an oil & chemical company in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Koh was awarded several patents in metalworking fluid technology and she formulated cutting oils, synthetic coolants, and stamping fluids for the automotive industry.
The company was named after the founder. (“Kook-Wha” means “Chrysanthemum” – in Korean). Chrysan has since become a leading global manufacturer of automotive lubricants and specialty chemicals - reaching over 26 countries and 5 continents. The company has been recognized for product innovation and supplier excellence by major automotive OEMs including General Motors, Ford Motor Company, and FCA.
