Plymouth, MI – June 1st, 2021. Chrysan® SYN 668, is a new synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid that meets Allison Transmission, TES 668™.
Chrysan® SYN 668 is the next generation specification fluid for on-highway vehicles, is specified for all of Allison’s 1000, 2000, 3000, and 4000 Series™ automatic transmissions, and is backward compatible for every Allison transmission that requires an approved TES 295® fluid. Chrysan® SYN 668 built upon the proven 20 year record of TES 295® fluids by delivering the same great performance with a modernized additive package.
Chrysan® SYN 668 has many advantages compared to mineral-based, non-synthetic fluids. It demonstrates performance in a number of key areas, such as oxidative stability, anti-wear performance, and friction modifier durability. These contributing factors improve the quality of shifting and provide reductions in noise, vibration, and harshness. Improved friction performance provides consistent clutch application across temperature variations and load sizes.

- Chrysan® SYN 668 fluids have the same oil change/drain intervals as TES 295® fluids.

- Chrysan® SYN 668 fluids have the same oil temperature operating range as TES 295® fluids.
- Chrysan® SYN 668 fluids will not affect the transmission oil cooling, oil levels, calibrations, or any other aspects of the transmission installation.
