Hanover, New Hampshire - Every spring Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College hosts the Minority Business Program. The executive program started in 1980 and is the oldest program designed to develop diverse business owners at an academic graduate business school.  Since its inception, more than 7,000 business owners have participated in the program.

Chrysan Industries, a Tier 1 Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE) was one of the generous contributors to the Tuck Minority Business Alumni Fund. The contribution supports deserving diverse business owners attend the week-long program. The class of 2018 had close to 50 graduates that were taught to master the skills in developing a high-performing business. The program titled “Building a High-Performing Minority Business” covered many key business aspects such as how to create cash flow and increase profits. With additional emphasis on entrepreneurship and management the students focused on implementation strategy to drive results, leverage the value chain, and improve the bottom line. 

The program is designed for owners of diverse business who are committed to advancing their business capabilities. A curriculum in mixing strategy and operations helps owners leverage the value chain to its full potential. Chrysan Industries’ founder, Dr. Kook-Wha Koh had the opportunity to attend the prestigious in the earlier years of Chrysan’s business operations, as did Kwang Koh, Chrysan executive.  More recently, Chrysan’s President & CFO Glenn Gerhard, 2015 Tuck Alum shared, “The interaction with other minority business owners (and managers) participants provided great networking opportunities to discuss relevant business issues outside the classroom experience.” After sending three Chrysan executives to reap the benefits of this important program at one of the world’s top-rated business schools, Chrysan is proud to continue support for such programs that provide opportunity to evaluate an organization’s health and diagnose its strengths and areas for improvement.
